In Pilates we always talk about engaging your core, taking belly button to spine, zipping up your core. It sounds easy but it takes practice especially when you’re also trying to exercise at the same time.
Engaging your core is a great core workout too. Remember it’s not just sucking your belly in. Imagine zipping up from your pubic bone to your belly button, like you’re fastening a pair of trousers.
