Mother’s Day can bring so many different emotions.
For some it’s breakfast in bed and handmade cards. For others it’s a quiet day of reflection. It can be for mums, step mums, fur baby mums, mums to be, those hoping to become mums and those carrying the memory of a mum who is no longer here.
Whatever today means for you, be gentle with yourself.
Movement can be a powerful way to process emotions. Even a few minutes of stretching or a short walk can help regulate your nervous system. Gentle exercise has been shown to reduce cortisol levels and increase circulation to the brain, which can help lift your mood naturally.
Today isn’t about doing more. It’s about doing what you need.
If that’s movement, rest, reflection or simply breathing deeply for a few moments, that is enough 🤍
