Pilates Classes – New Term starts next week

Have you heard of Pilates but didn’t know what it involved?


It’s all about moving the body in ways that:


Helps to improve your posture Helps you to feel stronger Helps reduce stress Helps reduce aches and stiffness Helps to strengthen your pelvic floor


And so much more. It will show you just how amazing your body is and how good you can feel. Let’s be honest we could all do with this in January.


My classes are all mixed ability classes suitable for men and women. I can guarantee you that the classes aren’t all ‘glammed up’ and filled with Lycra. The classes are full of lovely people who want to take some time for themselves. They want to feel stronger and do an exercise they enjoy and can modify depending on their ability, without being judged and pressured to take it to a higher level.


The main thing is that they enjoy it, if you enjoy an exercise, you’ll keep doing it, you’ll get stronger and soon feel the benefit. It won’t feel like a chore coming to class, you’ll look forward to the different exercises and seeing the difference in your body. My classes always include a relaxation session at the end, a lovely way to end the session.


If you’d like to give Pilates a try then my classes start from next Monday, I have classes at;


Birtley Community Centre Monday 1pm Sunday 5pm and 6.15pm


3d Health & Fitness, Cardinal Hume School Monday 5pm Wednesday 5pm, 6.15pm and 7.30pm


My classes are block booked, this gives you an incentive to attend class each week and soon start to feel the benefit of the exercises. This term is a 6 week term, £45 per person. You are signing up to 6 classes, if you can’t make a set time/class each week then you can swap between classes so that you don’t miss a session. This is great if you work different shift patterns or if life just gets in the way one week.
