We’re nearly at the end of July, and if your usual routine has been replaced by holidays, lie-ins and ice cream — rest assured you're not alone! 🍦

But just because you're not in your usual class doesn't mean you haven’t been moving. 🚶‍♀️

Movement can look different this time of year and that’s OK. 🌞

It might be swimming with the kids, cycling along the coast, walking to a market or just pottering in the garden. 🏊‍♀️

Even chasing after little ones on the beach counts! It’s all movement, it’s all valuable, and it all supports your body in staying active and mobile. 🏖️

So don’t write the month off just because you’ve not followed your “normal” routine. ✅

Instead, celebrate the ways you've moved without even thinking about it. 🎉

What’s been your favourite kind of movement so far during the holidays? For me, it's the coastal walks with a bit of dolphin spotting. 🐬

“Isn’t Pilates just a bit of stretching?” I hear this all the time, and I’m here to say no, not even close.

Yes, we stretch… but we also lift, lengthen, stabilise and strengthen. Pilates works deep muscles that support your joints, posture and everyday movement. It's not about bulking up, it's about control, precision and building real strength from the inside out. This means we can do everyday tasks like carrying the shopping.

So the next time someone calls Pilates ‘gentle’, remind them it’s strength in disguise. Come and feel it for yourself in one of my Summer Sessions. 👊

Pilates: Strength in Disguise 💪.

Short on time? No problem. If you’ve got 10 minutes and a telly, you’ve got time to move. 📺

Pop on your favourite show and sneak in some seated knee lifts, ankle circles, shoulder rolls or a few standing squats during the ad break. 🦵

It doesn’t have to be fancy — it just has to happen. Movement is movement, and stacking it with something you enjoy makes it easier to stick to. ✔️

What’s your go-to TV show for multitasking your fitness? 🎬

For me, I like programmes like Grand Designs and Sort Your Life Out — shows you can dip in and out of without missing too much. 🛋️
