Today is all about raising awareness of stroke because 1 in 4 of us are at risk in our lifetime. Knowing the signs could save a life.

👉 Remember the #ActFAST test:

Face – Can they smile? Does one side droop?

Arms – Can they raise both arms?

Speech – Is their speech slurred or strange?

Time – If you spot any of these signs, it’s time to call 999 immediately.

⏱ Time lost is brain lost. The quicker someone gets emergency care, the better their chances of survival and recovery.

✨ While some risk factors can’t be changed, healthy lifestyle choices really do make a difference. Regular movement, balanced nutrition, not smoking and managing stress all help reduce stroke risk. Even small changes add up to better long-term health.

Let’s spread the word, share the signs and make sure more people know how to #ActFAST.

Pumpkins aren’t just for carving scary faces… they’re a brilliant autumn superfood too! 🥣✨

💡 Did you know?

Pumpkin is rich in beta-carotene, which your body converts to vitamin A – great for eye health and immunity.

It’s packed with fibre, keeping you fuller for longer and helping digestion.

Those little pumpkin seeds? They’re loaded with zinc and magnesium, which support bone health, sleep and mood.

Instead of letting your pumpkin go to waste after Halloween, try roasting the flesh for soups, curries or even a cosy pumpkin risotto. Toast the seeds with a little olive oil and sea salt for a crunchy, nutrient-boosting snack. 🌱

So next time you see a pumpkin, think beyond the lantern, it’s a seasonal boost for your body too!
