If sitting still sends your mind racing, try moving meditation instead. Pilates helps you connect breath to movement, keeping you anchored in the now. Focus on how your body feels, the rhythm of your breath, and the strength in your core.

If walking is your thing, then next time you're out getting your steps in be aware of your breath, your posture, the trees moving in the wind. All these things make you focus on the world around you, allowing the mind to calm.

Pilates is my meditation, what's yours?

World Meditation day

In Pilates, we don’t rush. 🐢✨

Those moments between movements — the holds, the breath — they help build focus, control, and awareness. 🧘‍♀️🌀💭

When we pause in Pilates, we give the body time to feel. 🤲

This helps us appreciate how the body can move, how the breath can support us, and gives us space to notice improvements in the exercise. 🌬️🧍‍♀️🔄

It allows us to move in a calm way — and let’s face it, why would we want to add more chaos into our lives? ☁️➡️☀️

Why not try this move today?

Take your time, pause, and notice how it feels. 🕰️🦶💫

Ever notice how the slow, controlled movements in Pilates can be just as calming as sitting still? 🧘‍♀️✨

This week is all about exploring that calmness — the moments of stillness within movement. Pilates isn’t just physical, it’s deeply mental too. 🧠💪

Every breath, every hold, every pause is a chance to reset. 🌬️⏸️

So if you find sitting meditation hard (I know I certainly do!), moving meditation might be your path. 🚶‍♀️🌀

Why not try this move — Swan — today? 🦢

Notice your breath, how your spine feels, and be aware of how your body reacts to the movement. Then, notice how it feels afterwards. You never know — your body might want to move a little bit more. 🧍‍♀️➡️💃
