Healthy Ageing
We often think about exercise in terms of what it can do for us today, feeling stronger, moving more freely or simply feeling better after we've moved.
But there's a much bigger reason to keep moving.
Movement can play an important part in healthy ageing, helping our bodies stay strong, mobile and capable for the years ahead.
Strength helps us continue doing everyday things for ourselves. Balance and mobility help us move with more confidence and regular cardiovascular activity supports our heart health.
With World Heart Day tomorrow, it's a good reminder that the movement we do isn't just about how we look or what we can do today. It's also about looking after the body we want to keep using for many years to come.
You don't have to do everything at once. Walk, strengthen, stretch, balance, just keep moving.
What's one thing you'd like your body to still allow you to do in 10 or 20 years' time?
