Happy Mindful Monday, and welcome to the final week of April! 💜
What a month it's been. We've explored breathing techniques, shared Parkinson's facts, talked about stress, sugar, sleep and getting outside, and we've moved our bodies in so many wonderful ways. 🧘
To close out the month, let's come back to our breath one more time.
Try this slow exhale technique now 👇
• Breathe in naturally through your nose
• Exhale slowly through pursed lips, as if you're blowing out a candle, making the exhale twice as long as the inhale
• Repeat 8–10 times
A longer exhale activates the vagus nerve and parasympathetic nervous system more powerfully than almost any other technique. It's simple, free and works every single time. 🌿
