Reset your Breathing

Time for your weekly breathing reset! 🌸


This week's technique comes from the ancient practice of pranayama and whilst it might sound a little unusual, it is one of the most balancing and calming breathing exercises there is. đź’ś


Alternate Nostril Breathing (Nadi Shodhana).


Try it now 👇

• Sit comfortably and rest your left hand on your lap

• Bring your right hand up — use your thumb to close your right nostril

• Inhale slowly through your LEFT nostril for 4 counts

• Close both nostrils briefly and hold for 2 counts

• Release your thumb, close your left nostril with your ring finger

• Exhale slowly through your RIGHT nostril for 6 counts

• Inhale through the RIGHT for 4 counts, hold, then exhale through the LEFT

• That's one round — repeat 5–6 times


This technique is believed to balance the left and right hemispheres of the brain, reduce anxiety and create a wonderful sense of calm and mental clarity. 🌿


It sounds complicated but after one or two rounds it becomes completely natural. Give it a go, it gets your mind thinking too! đź’ś
