Summer Gardening

It's Saturday and I am willing to bet that at least a few of you have spent some time in the garden this week. 🌱 Bending, kneeling, reaching, carrying, twisting, gardening is actually a proper full-body workout when you think about it, and your body is absolutely feeling the results.

The movements we use in Pilates are designed to support exactly this kind of activity. A strong spine and mobile hips make weeding far less uncomfortable. Good shoulder stability means you can carry compost without wincing. It is less about six-pack abs and more about being able to do the things you love without paying for it afterwards.

If your body is telling you it has done a bit too much this week, a gentle stretch or short Pilates session is exactly what it needs right now. My Summer Sessions online programme has everything from express classes to full stretch sessions, all available at home, any time, for £12, and you have access to the sessions for six weeks. Perfect for a rainy Saturday when you can't get outside or when the sun is out and it's too hot to walk the dog! 🌿

Gardening, walking, shopping, what movement have you managed this week? Tell me in the comments! 🌱
