Bone Health
When do you think we should start thinking about our bones?
Bone health isn't something that suddenly becomes important when we're older.
Our bones are living tissue and respond to the demands we place on them. Weight-bearing activity and resistance exercise are particularly important because they give bones a reason to adapt.
Strength, balance and staying active also matter as we get older because they can help us remain confident in movement and reduce the risk of falls.
Tomorrow is World Osteoporosis Day, so it's a good reminder that looking after our bones is something we can think about throughout adulthood.
What are you doing today that your future self might thank you for?
