Functional Pilates for Everyday Life
Here’s a fact for you, Pilates isn’t just about building strength, it actually helps your brain and body work together better when you move through daily life.
This week, we’ve been doing real, functional moves like squats to get up from the sofa, knee drops to make getting in and out of the car easier, spine twists for rolling out of bed and more.
All these moves are training your body to be stronger and your brain to be sharper about how you move. That’s called body awareness, or proprioception if you want it's official title!
It means you stand taller, balance better, move smoother and even lower your chances of trips and falls.
So when you do those squats or heel raises, you’re not just building muscle, you’re teaching your brain how to keep you moving safely and easily every day.
