Fire Up Those Hips! 🔥

  • Apr 21
  • 1 min read

🔥 Try this move today, Fire Hydrant.

This one always raises a smile, but don't underestimate it! Starting on all fours with a stable, neutral spine, you lift one knee out to the side like opening a door, while keeping your hips as still as possible. It's all about controlling that movement without letting your whole body shift.

The slower you go, the more you'll feel it working. 💪

✨ Benefits:

• Strengthens the glutes, particularly the side of the hip

• Improves hip stability and pelvic control

Strong hips and good pelvic stability are so important for everyday movement, from walking and climbing stairs to maintaining your balance as you get older. For those living with Parkinson's, this kind of hip and pelvic work can be especially beneficial for gait and stability. 💜

Make sure you do both sides, don't leave one hip out! 😄
