Happy National Salad Week! 🌈

Now before you scroll past thinking this is just a post about lettuce hear me out. 😄

A proper salad is one of the most powerful, nutrient dense, hydrating and satisfying meals you can eat. And in June, when the days are warmer and we're naturally a little less inclined toward heavy food, it's the perfect time to get creative with what's on your plate. 🌿

Think beyond the bowl 👇

🥚 Eggs — brilliant for protein, keeping you full and fuelling your muscles after exercise. A boiled egg on a salad is a complete game changer.

🌻 Seeds — pumpkin, sunflower, sesame, these add crunch, they are healthy fats and a good dose of zinc and magnesium, both of which support muscle function and sleep

🥑 Avocado — healthy fats that support joint health and help your body absorb the fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E and K) in the rest of your salad

🫐 Dark berries — antioxidants that reduce inflammation, support the immune system and add natural sweetness without the sugar spike

💧 Did you know? Foods like cucumber, tomatoes and leafy greens are 90–96% water, meaning a good salad genuinely contributes to your daily hydration, especially important in warmer weather.

Fuel your movement well and your body will reward you for it. 💜

For me I like avocado and also some pomegranate seeds. What's your favourite thing to add to a salad? Drop it in the comments, I'm always looking for new ideas! 🌈
