It's Fact Friday — and this one is for the men! 💪

🧠 FACT: Joseph Pilates was a man. He developed his method to train boxers, gymnasts and dancers and it has been used by elite male athletes for over a century.


Today, Pilates is used by some of the world's top sporting names 👇


⛳ Golfers — Pilates builds the rotational core strength needed for a powerful, consistent swing, while improving the hip and thoracic mobility that protects the back from the repetitive demands of the game


🏃 Runners — Pilates corrects muscle imbalances that lead to injury, strengthens the glutes and hip stabilisers and improves running efficiency and posture


⚽ Footballers — Premier League clubs including Manchester City and Liverpool have incorporated Pilates into their training programmes to improve agility, reduce injury risk and speed up recovery


And you don't have to be a professional athlete to benefit. Whether you play five-a-side on a Saturday, enjoy a round of golf at the weekend or run a few times a week, Pilates will make you better at it. 💪
