The Kneeling Hip Flexor Stretch. 🙌

Happy Stretch Saturday! 🌸
Your hip flexors are the muscles that run from your lower spine to the top of your thigh and they are almost permanently shortened if you sit for long periods. Tight hip flexors contribute to lower back pain, poor posture and that stiff, achy feeling at the end of the day.
Does this sound familiar? Why not try this stretch? 👇
• Come into a kneeling lunge position, one knee on the floor, the other foot forward
• Keeping your torso tall, gently shift your weight forward until you feel a stretch through the front of the hip on the kneeling side
• Tuck your pelvis slightly under (imagine a tiny posterior tilt) to deepen the stretch without arching your lower back
• Hold for 30–40 seconds, breathing slowly and deeply
• Repeat on the other side
✨ You should feel this through the front of the hip and possibly into the top of the thigh, not in your knee or lower back.
This one is a game changer for anyone who sits at a desk, drives regularly or simply wants to move more freely. 🌿
Try it today and let me know how you get on! đź’ś
