Shoulder Bridge

🌿 Try this move today — Shoulder Bridge

Shoulder Bridge is a Pilates favourite for good reason. Lying on your back with your knees bent and feet grounded, lift your hips and slowly roll your spine away from the mat. Then take your time to roll back down, placing your spine back onto the mat one part at a time.

The slow rolling movement is the part I really like. It encourages you to think about how each part of your spine is moving rather than simply lifting and lowering your hips.

✨ Benefits:

• Strengthens your glutes and hamstrings

• Works your core and helps with pelvic stability

• Encourages controlled movement through the spine

Try to keep the movement slow and controlled rather than lifting as high as you can. And notice how different it feels when you really focus on the movement rather than just getting to the top.

Do you enjoy Shoulder Bridge or is it one of those exercises that makes you work a little harder? 😄
