May Your Spine Be Long and Your Heels Be Low 👠✨

This one is for anyone heading out in high heels this week. You know that moment when you leave the house feeling fabulous then 45 minutes later you’re walking like a Lego figure because your lower back has given up?

Here’s why. When you’re in heels your weight shifts forward which pulls your pelvis slightly out of its natural position. Your spine then works overtime to keep you upright. Combine this with cold weather plus maybe a cheeky cocktail and your posture pays the price 🍸❄️.

A little tip for you. Try lengthening the spine before and after wearing heels, it reduces the pressure on your lumbar discs. Even simple movements like reaching tall then gently lowering your shoulders can help your deep postural muscles kick in again 🧘‍♀️.

So before you head out, give your spine a moment of love. Stand tall, lift through the crown of your head and let your shoulders float down. Think “festive elegance” rather than “penguin waddle on cobbles”.
