Joseph Pilates understood that exercise isn’t just about moving your body, it’s about being mentally present while you do it.
When we slow down and truly focus on our movements, stress levels naturally reduce. This matters for heart health because ongoing stress can place extra strain on the heart over time.
By paying attention to how we move and breathe, we start to notice what our body needs more of and what it needs less of. That awareness often leads to better sleep, improved energy and a calmer nervous system.
You don’t need to be perfect, just present. It took me 50 years to practise that one 💛
