  • 1 min read

Downward Dog is a beautifully versatile exercise that stretches and strengthens the whole body at once and it absolutely wonderful when you get into it! 💜

Starting on all fours, you tuck your toes under, press into your hands and lift your hips up and back to form an inverted V shape. Keep a slight bend in the knees if your hamstrings are tight and focus on lengthening through your spine rather than forcing straight legs.

Breathe deeply, press the floor away and let your head hang heavy between your arms.

✨ Benefits:

• Stretches the hamstrings, calves and spine

• Strengthens the shoulders, arms and core

This is a brilliant full body reset that can be done any time of day, first thing in the morning to wake the body up, or at the end of the day to release everything you've been holding. 🌿

Hold for 5–8 slow breaths and really let the body settle in.
